It's raining hard today. Classes in Metro Manila are suspended at 11:30 a.m. (DepEd should have made the announcement much earlier, before the students have left their homes.) At 1:00 p.m., government employees can go home. Metro Manila is drenched in heavy rain. Many areas are flooded due to typhoon Florita.
I braved the heavy downpour and reported to work early in the morning. A few hours after, I received a call from our househelp. She told me there's no water supply at home. I called up the water company and inquired. I was told there was a busted pipe in our area, their men are already working on it and that it will take 3 to 5 hours before they get it fixed.
How ironic. While there's water everywhere, the faucets at home are thirsty.
