I have been collecting aluminum tabs from soda cans.
I have hundreds of them at home. I also have a collection in a box which I hid somewhere in the office hehehehe. I will be sending the tabs to Tahanang Walang Hagdan (Filipino for Home Without Stairs,) a community of physically challenged. In Tahanan, persons with disabilities are provided rehabilitation, livelihood training and employment opportunities. Tahanan recycles the aluminum tabs into spareparts of a wheelchair.
I would like to thank the people who have constantly helped me collect the tabs: Tita Helen and her friends in IEE, Ate Owen, Jenny, Ate Glenda and Ma'am Tanty. Thank you for helping me out on this little crusade. It's not much, I know. But it helps kahit paano.

Tahanan also accepts empty soda cans. For those interested in donating, you may call (02)655-0055/59 or (02)655-0812. Sa mga umiinom ng bottled soda, pakiipon po ang aluminum tabs at hihingin ko hehehehe
dami po ako sa bahay…

That sounds like a very worthwhile cause, although it seems as though they’d meet their goal a lot faster collecting the whole can.
Enjoying browsing through your blog Bea, keep at it!
