In yesterday's column of Isagani Cruz in Philippine Star (p.12), he listed down all the finalists in the 2006 National Book Awards, and one of my “babies” has made it as one of the three finalists in the Children’s Literature category. Yeeeeey!
Congratulations to Eugene (writer) and Panch (illustrator) for a job well-done in the book, Baha! I hope we bring home the bacon. But it is already an honor for the book to have been chosen as a finalist among many entries.
Congratulations also to Kuya Alfred, the project coordinator of Ciudad Murada: A Walk Through Historic Intramuros, also a publishing venture of our sister company, Filipiniana.net. Ciudad Murada is also a finalist in the Travel category.
The National Book Awards is organized by the Manila Critics Circle in cooperation with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts and the National Book Development Board.
Have a great weekend everyone! I won't be posting tomorrow. I'm off for a lakwatsa hahaha. Good luck, Baha!
