Heto na…heto na…heto naaaaa…ang Pasko! I felt a jolt of excitement yesterday when I entered SM North EDSA mall. It looked and felt and smelled a lot like Christmas! Christmas songs were being played. With a little more than a month before Dec. 25, SM is already full of Christmas-related items–food, decorations, gifts, and so on. In National Bookstore, I saw some people buying Christmas-themed gift wraps. Mukhang ang dami na nilang babalutin hehehe. I proceeded to the toy section and tried to window-shop for my many inaanak. The section was full of kids and its shelves were full of toys. Then I went to the grocery section. At the entrance, I saw roasted chestnuts! Yum-yum!
On my way home, I noticed that most of the establishments along EDSA have Christmas lights and decorations. Iba-iba. Merong may malaking Santa Claus, meron may malaking parol, meron ding may sari-saring ilaw. Pasko na nga! Saya! I could almost hear children striking their tin drums and singing their heart out…“Pasko, Pasko, Pasko na namang muli ang pag-ibig naghahari….”
