I've been house hunting in the city for more than 2 years now. I used to be so matiyaga visiting subdivisions which showcased their model houses. But I have not been successful in my hunt so I'm giving up. I guess city life is not really for me. The cost of living is too high and I have so many unpleasant experiences here, the most horrifying was when I almost lost my life in a jeepney robbery.
Mausok.
Mainit.
Crowded.
Noisy.
Magulo.
That's city life. Sometimes, I wonder how my life would be when I grow old if I continue living in the city. Will I be able to cope up with the demands of a fast-paced life? I envy my parents because they live in the province.
Simple.
Peaceful.
Presko.
Tahimik.
Maluwag.
That's life in the province, a total opposite of city life. So why am I staying in the city? Because my work is here. Because I did not allow myself to have a politician sponsor my entry into government work in the province. Sad, but it's a fact in many provinces. Kailangan may "ninong" or "kapit" so you could land a job. Ayoko nun.
As to how long I will be staying in the city, I do not know. All I am sure of is that given a choice, I do not intend to stay long. I do not want to grow old in the city lalo na if I become a soltera hahahaha. But if there'll be no other choice, maybe I will wait for some entrepreneurs to put up a business modeled after assisted living in New York hahaha
