Last December, I wrote in one of my posts something about a forthcoming reunion with my classmates in grade school. Sad to say, it did not push through because of heavy rains which flooded some parts of the town. I got a little disappointed with what happened, maybe because I expected too much. I expected to see the smiling faces of my classmates. I expected that we would have a great time exchanging old jokes and teasing each other about the things we did 19 years ago. Sensing how I was feeling, one of my classmates who live just a few houses away from my place invited me to her house and showed me a photo album. In the album are recent pictures of some of my classmates who I haven't seen since grade school. She told me it was supposed to be a surprise. She was supposed to bring the album to the reunion had it pushed through. I was indeed surprised. While looking at the pictures I couldn't help but recall how we looked like as kids. I almost didn't recognize a classmate who looks so different from how he looked like many years back. I noticed his nose in particular. Looks like he had Los Angeles rhinoplasty. Just kidding. It has been 19 years since I last saw him. Kaya marami na talagang pagbabago sa kanya. I went home with a light feeling. Masaya na rin ako. We're planning to push through with the reunion next year. I'm hoping everything will work out fine. |
