I had my annual physical examination last Feb. 9 and the result got in only last Friday. It seems scholiosis and hyperacidity enjoy tormenting me that they've decided to stick with me in the past 3 years. Arrrgh. Now there's a third addition to my tormentors: anemia. I have an abnormally low number of red blood cells. Arrrgh again.
I have observed some of the symptoms in the past three or four weeks: lightheadedness, shortness of breath and cold hands and feet. Also, specially during badminton games, I'd easily get weak and tired which is unusual because I'm used to playing badminton a lot and not feeling tired after each game. The doctor said since I have very low hemoglobin count, the tissues of my body are being starved of oxygen (Hemoglobin is the iron-containing pigment of the red blood cells that carries oxygen from the lungs to the tissues.). Poor body tissues.
I am now taking iron supplements and eating doctor-prescribed diet that's iron-rich. I will have another blood test soon. So good luck to me.
