So, just for fun, what would you like your name to be if you become a star?
Local and foreign celebrities sometimes dump their real names and use a new a new one because they feel that their name lacks that showbiz pizazz or it is just plain and ordinary. Sometimes, the move is suggested by talent managers who think that their talent 's real name is long or it sounds silly.
In the local showbiz industry, celebrities like Dolphy, Vina Morales, Toni Gonzaga, and the controversial Rossana Roces are just some of those who use stage names. Dolphy is Rodolfo Quizon in real life, Vina is Sharon Magdayao, Toni is Celeste Gonzaga, and Rossana is Jennifer Adriano Molina.
In Holywood, a lot of celebrities have also adopted new names. Demi Moore, for example, is Demetria Gene Buynes in real life. Elton John is Reginald Dwight. Eminem is Marshall Bruce Mathers III. Ricky Martin is Enrique Morales. To find out more about celebrity real names, click here.
